Seattle-based NetMotion Software, which specializes in mobile performance management (MPM) software, on May 17 launched a new a visualization, analytics and alerting platform for enterprise mobile deployments.
Built on Splunk Enterprise, a new-gen platform for running operational intelligence, NetMotion’s Mobile IQ delivers real-time analysis and alerts about mobile connectivity, security, performance and behavior so that IT operations teams are able to make faster, more informed decisions.
Mobile IQ ingests previously untapped data of all types collected from NetMotion-enabled mobile devices and analyzes it.
“Ops teams grapple with understanding connectivity challenges and mitigating security threats on mobile devices,” CEO Christopher Kenessey said. “Mobile IQ is purpose-built to drill down into the rich data previously unavailable within mobile devices to finally visualize real-time information and insights needed to make smart operational decisions.”
Mobile IQ collects data from all NetMotion-enabled devices running all popular mobile operating systems, including Android, Mac OS, iOS and Windows.
The core technology runs on Splunk’s machine-analytics engine, providing detailed visualization, analysis and alerting for networks, users, devices and applications inside and outside the corporate firewall. Custom alerts, queries and dashboards can also be dialedup for individualized operational needs.
